- Summary:
- Wouldn't it be great if teachers had the opportunity to produce their own videos and have them broadcast on Teachers TV? Well, that's what Action! Teacher Video is all about; and in this episode you can see a video created by Heather Ravenhall called How to Motivate Reluctant Readers . This video features some action research carried out at Greet Primary School in Birmingham. It looks into different methods and strategies to encourage children at foundation level to read and enjoy books.Presenter Xanthe Steen is joined in the studio by Heather, education consultant Adrienne Jones and teacher Chris Horn, to discuss the project. They talk about what the research has revealed to date and the strategies that have proved successful. They also consider the wider implications of using Teacher Video for recording and assessment of children's learning and for teacher CPD.See the resources and support materials page for links related to this programme.
