- Primary Libraries can be a great asset in a school, but some Ofsted inspection reports note they are an undeveloped resource. We visit Ben Jonson Primary in Tower Hamlets, London, who are working closely with their local schools library service to keep the library at the heart of the school. The programme covers staffing options, integrating the library into school life, refreshing the stock, running activities and the role of effective leadership from senior management. It also provides a case study for employing a qualified librarian on a part time basis to support and lead a Teaching Assistant who has day to day responsibility for the library.
