Summary:
BIG THREE IN ACCORD AT PARIS Meeting in Paris, preliminary to the annual NATO sessions, the Big 3 Foreign Ministers confer with West Germany's Brentano taking part. They reach agreement on the basic issues raised by Soviet Russia's ultimatum on West Berlin. The Free Nations stand united. NOBEL PRIZE WINNER: In Oslo, Norway, Father Pire, the Belgian priest who won the 1958 Nobel Peace Prize for his work aiding displaced persons, receives the $41,000 award. PARAKEET CIRCUS: In Holland, a parakeet circus with almost as much action as a human 'big top', including high wire walkers and daredevil motorcyclists!! It's a real bird of a show. POLISH HOOP-DE-DO: Polish teen-agers abandon the national polka and mazurkas, for mass hoop-twirling sessions set to American-style jazz. SEASON'S GREETINGS FROM EMBASSY TOTS In the nation's capital, one of the most delightful traditions of the holiday season is observed as the youngsters of the Washington diplomatic corps assemble for a program of Season's Greetings to the nation. SPORTS In Yankee Stadium, the New York grid Giants meet the Cleveland Browns. A tie will clinch the division crown for the Browns. They lead 10-3 in the fourth period. A giant touchdown isn't enough - it only ties the score. But as time runs out, Summerall splits the uprights with a 49-yard field goal to win the game and assure the New Yorkers of a Play-Off berth.
