- Summary:
- The American Civil War began and ended in the South. Its fertile fields provided the backdrop for many of the wars epic battles. Alongside the legions of Southern patriots and their Union opponents was a unique band of men committed to documenting the conflict in Dixie. Despite being hobbled by lack of supplies, the threat of enemy fire and campaigns spanning hundreds of miles, these men labored in virtual obscurity to chronicle the war. This is the story of the unsung camera men of the Confederacy.
