In May 2007 Teachers TV filmed the lives of four Year 8 pupils at Hove Park Park Secondary School in Brighton: Robert, Louise, Bradley and Jack. Six leading practitioners watched the films and give their frank opinions on what they feel the films reveal about the critical issue of student aspirations - and how teachers can best raise them. They argue that pupils and teachers perform best in an atmosphere of very high expectations with a relentless drive for improvement coming from the top.
