Summary:
FOREIGN VISITORS CONFER WITH PRESIDENT: These are busy days at the White House with one important foreign visitor following another. First, Harold Wilson, Britain's new Prime Minister, arrives for two days of talks with President Johnson. Most important item on the agenda: future of the Atlantic Alliance and the allied nuclear defense. Three days later there is a visitor from the other side of the Iron Curtain as Russian Foreign Minister Andrei Gromyko confers with the President and Dean Rusk. Neither side seems to have offered any new initiative to reduce East-West tension. CANADIAN RADOME JOINS WORLD CIRCUIT: A new ground station is being added to the world-wide communication network as an inflatable "Radome" is erected near Halifax, Nova Scotia. Thus, Canada joins with the United States, Britain, France and Germany in monitoring the speeding communications satellites. SPORTS HIGHER EDUCATION PAYS OFF: Grandfather, son and two grandsons---three generations of the Winn family of California - are experts on the tight wire. Here's how the boys train...they have been at home, aloft, since they were 3 years old. One is now four and the other six! CANADIAN RADOME JOINS WORLD CIRCUIT: A huge crowd turns out for the Rodeo World Series at Los Angeles as cowpokes have their championship set-to with the bucking horses and wild Brahma steers. The cowboys and animals like to go around together-but not for long.
