Focusing on balance sheets, this programme takes a look at how he finds a new way to engage his Year 11s and ensure they have the maximum possible understanding to get them through their approaching exam. Comparing the business to a patient and the balance sheet to a health check he brings the subject to life. His plan of attack also includes steering away from the textbooks, avoiding numbers until the pupils understand the meaning of key terms like assets and liabilities and using examples and exercises that are topical and relevant to them.
