Summary:
REDS OPEN BERLIN WALL FOR HOLIDAYS The Holiday season begins for West Berliners on the day the Wall of Shame is opened for visits to relatives in East Berlin. They line up before dawn at five checkpoints, anxious to take advantage of every hour that passage to Communist Berlin will be open. It is estimated that more than a million visitors will cross over in a two-week period. TO A QUEEN MOTHER'S TASTE Queen Mother Elizabeth attends a fashion show at the Royal Opera House to see fashions offered by London's top designers. The Queen Mother sees haute couture that is certainly to a Queen's taste. The fashion news from London proves that Life can be beautiful. SPORTS FOOTBALL FOOTBALL GOES INDOORS For the first time a Bowl Game is played under cover as UTAH meets WEST VIRGINIA in Convention Hall, Atlantic City. This is where the political conventions are held (minus the turf) and observers say the play is cleaner as Utah overwhelms West Virginia- 32 to 6. THE SECOND BOSTON MASSACRE 'Taint fit day out for fan or pigskin as the BUFFALO BILLS meet the BOSTON PATRIOTS for the Eastern title in the American Football League. They have to scrape four inches of snow off the field before Buffalo can go to work on Boston. Buffalo clobbers their archenemy- 24 to 14 to win the right to meet San Diego for the title.
