- Summary:
- MARINES IN ACTION: A three-man junta has been named to rule the Dominican Republic as United States Marines move in to protect American lives. President Johnson ordered the landing as shooting continued in Santo Domingo despite the obvious collapse of the attempt to return ousted President Juan Bosch to power. The Marines liquidated two snipers who attacked the United States Embassy, in Santo Domingo. On the other side of the world, the Marines are in action in South Vietnam. They have been ordered to take the offensive against Red Viet Cong troops in a wide perimeter around Danang. TEST PLANE CRASHES: In the first public test of a $5,000,000 vertical takeoff plane, 'disaster' rides as the co-pilot. Lou Everett is killed as his experimental craft crashes during the demonstration. WELCOME MEDICINE: Ask any doctor! Laughter is the BEST medicine of all, especially for children. To prove that theory anew, Ringling Bros. Barnum-Bailey Circus visits Bellevue Hospital. You can see for yourself, the improvement among the patients. UNDERWATER AQUARIUM: Canadians have opened what must be the most unusual aquarium in the world. Located at Oak Bay, British Columbia, the exhibit maintains its own fleet of boats. Spectators enter an underwater viewing room and see the fish swimming in their natural element....outside in the sea, kept on the range with netting.
