- Summary:
- Managing Behaviour follows two newly qualified teachers, Tara and Rosie, as they embark on the first week of their induction year in teaching and provides insight into the typical phases and problems that most NQTs experience, highlighting common behaviour management issues. The programme maps Tara and Rosie's progress and notes a change in their attitudes as the realities of the classroom start to emerge. Each of our NQTs come from different backgrounds and when faced with an outbreak of nits, parents evening and behaviour frustrations, they each adopt different strategies in order to deal with their problems. Despite their different approaches, they both agree on two points, that preparation and behaviour management are crucial at this early stage, if they are to be able to teach well and pass their induction year.
