Summary:

In 1968, in that year when almost everything seemed to happen, there was a confrontation, on Rua Maria Antônia, in São Paulo, between students from the Faculty of Philosophy at USP and students from Mackenzie College. In addition to the fire and destruction of the USP building, a high school student was killed. It was not a simple student fight, but almost a miniature reproduction of the Cold War that was then fought between left and right. Remembering that moment is not an exercise in nostalgia, but an attempt to understand something of the forces that shaped our present.
