- Summary:
- Bullying is an issue that affects almost every school. When one boy was severely bullied for being different, he couldn't cope with being at school. Here, now 14, he tells how bullying drove him to self-harming and refusal to attend school. Bullied is a hard-hitting series of assembly starters for secondary and primary students that features interviews with young people who have been bullied. In Bullied: Difference, one boy's preference for singing and dancing instead of football was the trigger for extreme bullying. For teachers, this short film could prompt questions including: What does it mean to be different? Is there a pressure at school to be tough enough and fit in? How do stereotypes affect the way that people judge their classmates?
