- Summary:
- What happens when pupils are asked to imagine that they are unable to attend a school reunion ten years hence? They have to make a video podcast explaining how their lives have developed since they last saw their classmates. It's a fun technique, which genuinely engages the pupils but perhaps more importantly makes them consider in-depth their likely career paths and choices. The Year 10 pupils at Penketh High School in Warrington throw themselves into the task and quickly realise that if their dreams of a house in the country and a desirable car are to be fulfilled they need to think seriously about a career. With sufficient support from an ICT department or a teacher with digital media skills, the project is not a difficult one to design or implement.
