- Summary:
- This 2009 film, created for AATA's 40th Anniversary, explores the contemporary status of art therapy and reviews the history of the field and its professional association. After the Visonaries who imagined the discipline in the forties, we meet the Pioneers who mapped the territory in the fifties and sixties, culminating in the founding of AATA in 1969. Early Settlers, entering art therapy after 1970, discuss further developments followed by: what AATA means to members, the importance of being an artist, the question of identity, and art therapy's future.
