- Summary:
- Santos Braulio Colli Colli was 15 when we met him first in 1976. Profoundly deaf, he nevertheless swaggered into Yucatan's busy capitol of Merida, became a mason and then a master mason, and then engineered marriage with a high-status hearing woman from a nearby town. His story documents what it means to be a Maya man in a rapidly-changing modern world.
