- Summary:
- For many teachers, learning to use new technology can often feel like a chore rather than a pleasure. MFL teacher Angela Relph is eager for her department to lead the way and enthuse pupils by using ICT in lesson but she and her colleagues often find it hard to motivate themselves into trying out new things. In this programme, Angela asks Gladeana how she can inspire and motivate both herself and colleagues into seeing ICT as an exciting project rather than just another thing that needs to be done. Gladeana suggests that Angela uses her desire to teach at a high level by being the first to try the new ICT in her lessons. By being a role model and leading the way, her results and enthusiam will be contagious to colleagues. If they see Angela using ICT to get results, Gladeana reasons, they will feel there's no reason they can't try it too, especially as they have someone to bounce ideas off and troubleshoot with.
