- Summary:
- Seven years ago Guildford Grove Primary was struggling; today they feel that the co-ordinated approach to literacy that has been born out of the RRP has been an important factor in turning the school around. All staff members and parents of pupils involved in the programme are invited to watch lessons, on top of the literacy hour an extra half hour devoted to reading and writing group work has been introduced, and a variety of group literacy interventions have been devised and implemented for KS2 pupils. By carefully monitoring and assessing these interventions the school has been able to hone them precisely to the pupils' needs.
