Summary:
What is your happiest moment? Your most painful one? Are you stressed out? What do you value the most? What do you think of birth, old age, sickness and death? What do you think people live for ... These are the topics that Dr Yao Shuai talks with patients and their families outside of work. Yao is a cardiovascular physician. He has been taking black and white portraits of patients and their families in the hospital for three years. He has photographed more than 600 people and over 10,000 photos. Each photo documents a spiritual healing, human stories, and also humanistic studies. Yao said that he wanted to come back to the true meaning of a doctor - occasionally healing, often helping, and always comforting.
