Summary:
When we describe something as red or blue or yellow, we take it for granted that other people will understand and know what we mean. But how can we be sure that our experiences of colour are the same? Is colour merely a creation of our brains? Is the colourful world we see the physical or real world at all? Or is it about perception and affected by the language we speak, the age we are or even our nationality? In this programme, Horizon finds out what colour really means to us, whether there is hope for the colour blind and if we could even extend human vision.
