Meifen, une jeune chinoise qui vit à Paris, part à la découverte des saveurs de son pays. De Pékin à Chongquing dans la région du Sichuan, jusqu'à Canton, Hongkong et Shanghaï, nous découvrons les spécialités exotiques et gastronomiques de chaque région mais aussi une autre cuisine, originale et déroutante que nous avons rarement le plaisir de rencontrer et de goûter. On y trouve des plats à base de serpents, scorpions frits, vers à soie, tortues et autres ingrédients insolites qui donnent toute la richesse et la saveur à la cuisine chinoise. "Manman chi !" se dit toujours avant le repas et signifie littéralement "Mangez doucement !"
Meifen, a young Chinese who lives in Paris, sets out to discover the flavors of her country. From Beijing to Chongquing in the Sichuan region, to Canton, Hong Kong and Shanghai, we discover the exotic and gastronomic specialties of each region but also another cuisine, original and confusing that we rarely have the pleasure of meeting and tasting. There are dishes made from snakes, fried scorpions, silkworms, turtles and other unusual ingredients that give all the richness and flavor to Chinese cuisine. "Manman chi!" is always said before the meal and literally means "Eat slowly!"
