Summary:

They belong to the lower castes in Rajasthan: they are called "manganiars", which means "beggars" in Hindi. They are statutory beggars in Rajasthani society but real sultans in music. Sublime paradox that will be explored by our recordings justifying the title of this work: "Princes and Vagabonds".
