Summary:
Making Malta Home portrays the stories of Dursa, Agnes and Thomas. All three of them migrated to Europe several years ago and had to build up a life in Malta. The insights they share in the documentary showcase their strength and resilience in overcoming obstacles thrown their way by physical borders, as well as the 'imaginative' borders in peoples minds, causing racism and discriminatory treatment. Although all three protagonists have different life stories, they are united by the fact that they are actively striving for a sense of belonging in building up a life on the island of Malta, while simultaneously inspiring and educating others by sharing their personal experiences.
