Summary:
Overcome Feeling Excluded is a video in the SKILLS FOR ME SERIES to provide skills for people who feel excluded from what is happening. Exclusion negatively affects morale, productivity, communication and collaboration in the workplace. In today's world of constant social media communication, Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) is common. But fearing we are missing out and knowing we are being left out are quite different. We can all jump to conclusions, and it is important to identify and accept our own emotions and actions. However sometimes exclusion is real - you know things are happening and you are not being included. In this video psychologists Eve Ash and Peter Quarry talk about feeling and being excluded, and some possible reasons for it, such as cultural differences, ethnicity, age, gender or sexuality.
