Sacred legend of music and cinema, Frank Sinatra has experienced different artistic periods and as many successes. Idol of post-war youth, singer orchestrated by the greatest including Quincy Jones, husband of the sublime Ava Gardner and host of the Rat Pack, Ol' Blue Eyes has led an incredible career. Highlights of his musical repertoire, singles like "I've Got You Under My Skin" or "Strangers In The Night" and poignant albums like In The Wee Small Hours, and Sings For Only The Lonely are unrivaled. Composed in the form of an anthology, the present documentary effectively reflects the career of Frank Sinatra. There are ballads to die for like "Stardust" or "Ol' Man River," an obvious sense of swing with "Witchcraft" or "Too Marvelous For Words," as well duets with Dean Martin such as "For Somebody Else," all performed at the bar as they should be. If some of the Chairman Of The Board's greatest hits are absent from this compilation, the quality of the tracks compensates for these omissions, as with "Hello, Young Lovers," a song that will be covered many times, in particular by stars of the soul like Stevie Wonder and the Temptations.
