Summary:
The Third Reich was opposed to modern style and chose the Haussmann vision as its model. Paris and Berlin's destinies after the war diverged forever. Berlin became a divided city, torn by diametrically opposed urban planning. In the end, in its constant endeavor to surpass Paris, Berlin did create its own model, at once free and diversified.
