Summary:
Alexander Armstrong explores Iceland - the land of glaciers and geysers, and summers where the sun never sets. He's on a quest to discover all Iceland has to offer and witnesses erupting geysers, visits breath-taking glaciers and meets a man who bakes bread in boiling water. Alexander also walks through the buzzing streets of Reykjavik, plays a round of midnight golf and rides an Icelandic horse. And in the land where rotten shark is a delicacy, Alexander samples possibly the world's most disgusting dish - so you don't have to. Alexander embarks on a journey across Iceland, traversing the full breadth of the country to discover more about Iceland's unique culture, wildlife and landscapes. He begins his Icelandic adventure in a helicopter, hovering just yards above the rim of an erupting and lethal volcano close to the capital of Reykjavik, before heading east to Iceland's Golden Circle, which is home to some of its most famous sights.
