- Summary:
On the island of Dominica, in the Caribbean Sea, live in a reserve the last 3000 Kalinagos. Threatened with extinction, these "Amerindian" people fight as they did against slavery and colonialism, to preserve their culture (language, beliefs, rituals, etc.). On the initiative of Faustulus, former chief of the territory, and his son Cozier, historian, a cultural park "Barana Autê", financed by the Dominican State was born in 2005. The last paradise of the Kalinagos testifies in an unprecedented way of the struggle of a people who are trying to reclaim both their history and their future.
