- This short documentary follows Elia, an HIV-positive woman. While living on the streets of Los Angeles, Elia got pregnant which started her journey to a better life for herself and her baby. The film stresses the importance of integrated medical, social, and psychological care when dealing with patients with difficult socioeconomic circumstances. It also illustrates the rationale for patient compliance to HIV drug regimens and touches on the viral mechanisms of drug resistance.
