- Summary:
- French pianist Cécile Ousset is surrounded by Degas paintings, medieval stonework, stained glass and oriental and European ceramics in an evening devoted to the complete two books of Debussy's piano preludes. The Preludes were almost all inspired by the visual arts and the setting (The Burell Collection in Glasgow) aims to achieve what Debussy originally intended: an evocation of mood rather than literal descriptions of individual pieces.
