- The Boy Factory follows several classes of teens at technical colleges in remote regions of France as they train to become foundry workers and mechanics in the hopes of securing a better future for themselves and their families. These young men reveal their hopes and fears, as well as their relationships to their classmates and romantic endeavors. Under the weight of cultural and social definitions of masculinity, they explore the question: what does it mean to be a man?
