Summary:
When students enter college, they will begin their journey on the road to their future careers. At the core to their preparation and eventual success in these careers will be the ability to think critically, reason skillfully, and - in this era of fake news - distinguish between fact and fiction. Why is critical thinking important? It enhances language and presentation skills, can improve comprehension as well as the expression of ideas. Critical thinking is also crucial for self-reflection. In this video, viewers will understand what it takes to think critically - to determine the facts of a subject without prejudice, place these facts and information in a pattern to better understand and explain them, and accept and reject conclusions based upon experience, judgment, and beliefs.
