- Summary:
- Props With Purpose in Yoga explains how to use props in classical yoga poses - poses that require effort to be recruited. The video reviews the fact that each of these poses involves three fundamental elements: movement, stability, and a restorative aspect. The video also details how to overcome possible participant resistance to the use of props, including pointing out that props can not only make the pose somewhat more comfortable in order to enable the individual to achieve its intended purpose, as well as enhance the safety level of the effort. In addition, the video describes and demonstrates several specific examples of utilizing props in yoga poses.
