Summary:
Mountains provide a splendid backdrop from communities but they are also important ecological landscapes for the people that live on and around them. Approximately one-tenth of the world's population depends directly on mountains for their life-support. Living in one of the world's highest altitude communities, these people constantly astound the rest of the world with their miraculous feats of strength and endurance. We explore Nepal to learn about the Sherpas and their culture. What makes them almost superhuman? We soak in their culture apart from their mountain climbing abilities.
