- Summary:
- The Abortion Talks is a documentary film about the secret dialogues that took place between pro-life and pro-choice leaders in the Boston area, in the wake of shootings that left employees dead at two clinics. It follows the crimes, trial, and murder of John Salvi--and the story of six women, all of them leaders in the pro-life and pro-choice movements, who sought to ensure that it would never happen again. Disillusioned by the rhetoric and posturing from both sides, three pro-life and three pro-choice leaders meet secretly to see if together they could fix their broken worlds. These courageous leaders risked their personal safety and professional lives to meet secretly for six years under the guidance of Essential Partners co-founder Laura R. Chasin and mediator Susan Podziba.
