Singer-Mendenhall copy: each volume bound in original blue paper wrapper with manuscript spine title label; 7 copies of contemporary printed leaf A1 (12mo with horizontal chain lines) from an unrecorded edition in French of "Julie, ou, Le triomphe de la constance" titled "Julie, ou, La constance couronnée" used as binder's waste (inside front and back wrappers of volumes 1-3 and inside front wrapper of volume 4); portion of a contemporary printed leaf from a French publication used as binder's waste (inside back wrapper of volume 4); edges untrimmed.
