- Summary:
- The GRG (Generalized Reduced Gradient) solver in Excel can be used to solve sets of nonlinear equations. The nonlinear functions are input as cells and equation residuals are minimized. Functions can either be included as equality constraints, inequality constraints, or as objective function terms. Excel solver is best suited for problems with few decision variables (~100 or less). See http://apmonitor.com/che263 for additional course content and solvers in MATLAB and Python.
