Summary:
The objective of the artistic training program organized by the museum and directed by artist Franklin Aguirre, was to train and potentiate the work of 160 self-taught artists who do not have easy access to formal education and of emerging artists (non-professionals), through a strengthening program, which includes processes of creation and social interaction from disruptive education and the analysis of the professional panorama of the field of action of the arts in the country. The program lasted four months (September 14, 2018 to March 31, 2019) and was carried out in the facilities of MAMBO and in spaces of 10 neighborhoods of Bogotá. This publication succinctly addresses this first version of the Artistic Training Program (PFA) at MAMBO. As a final result, a group of twenty-eight students were selected and given the opportunity to present their projects at the Autónomo (Autonomous) exhibition. This was the inaugural exhibition of the 2019 program and the first to be displayed in the newly renovated museum.ʺ --Page 152.
