- Summary:
- This 2018 concert by Shabaka & the Ancestors at the famous Zurich jazz club Moods follows the release of their album Wisdom of Elders. The London-based band performs repetitive, hypnotic, and exhilarating jazz, with long improvisations full of freedom and energy. Shabaka Hutchings is one of the leaders of the new generation of British jazz. As a saxophonist, clarinetist, and composer, he has been bringing a fresh and creative spirit to the international jazz scene for several years. As a member of the groups Sons of Kemet, The Comet is Coming, and Shabaka & the Ancestors, Hutchings brings a variety of diverse influences to his dynamic and daring jazz, including hip-hop and reggae, Caribbean and West African music. This is just one of over 500 amazing jazz concerts available on medici.tv!.
