- Summary:
- Recorded at the Jazzahead Festival in 2016, this Aaron Diehl Trio concert is certainly one to remember. A breathtaking performer throughout all of his career, jazz pianist Aaron Diehl has won multiple awards and is considered one of the most prodigious jazz virtuosos of today. This concert is characterized by a touching docility and irreproachable technical mastery, magnified by talented double bassist Paul Sikivie and the late Lawrence Leathers. We must pay tribute to this ingenious drummer, who passed away at a young age. His incredible playing, considered one of the richest in jazz drumming, saw him collaborate with Cécile McLorin Salvant on several Grammy-winning albums. The unique opportunity to rewatch him at the height of his talent, only three years before his death, makes this performance as tragic and captivating as it is simply full of life. This is just one of over 500 amazing jazz concerts available on medici.tv!.
