- Summary:
- Petros Klampanis’s acoustic ensemble triumphs at the Jazzahead Festival 2022! Originally from Greece, Petro Klampanis’s sound and musicality is profoundly influenced by a vibrant Mediterranean atmosphere. The sextet he leads—supported by drummer and percussionist Bodek Janke—is on a par with the finest chamber music ensembles, featuring violinists Olga Holdorff and Sofia Baltatzi, violist Sara Rilling, cellist Gregor Furhmann, pianist Kristjan Randalu, and all that jazz! Petros Klampanis is no newcomer on stage: in 2017, his album Chroma was awarded Best Live Album of the Year at the Independent Music Awards. The eponymous, fan-favorite song is performed during this concert, where the magnificent, balanced sound of the double bass is both calming and comforting. This is just one of over 500 amazing jazz concerts available on medici.tv!.
