- Summary:
- Léon Phal and his quintet capture the audience’s attention at the Jazzahead Festival 2022 with their timeless performance. Léon Phal is one of the most popular saxophonists of his generation of jazzmen, capable of paying magnificent homage to his predecessors without playing in their shadow. On this occasion, he and his musicians bring their original and extremely elegant touch to the genre. Originally from Champagne, this Franco-Swiss composer has remarkably preserved the jazz tradition while incorporating modern electronic sonoroties into his playing. His musicians are the gems of his work, accentuating his passion and musical agility. Pianist Gauthier Toux, drummer Arthur Alard, and double-bassist Rémi Bouyssière form a rhythmic section of astonishing accuracy, while Zacharie Ksyk offers a breathtaking rendition of Léon Phal’s melodies. This is just one of over 500 amazing jazz concerts available on medici.tv!.
