Summary:
Follows two gay and lesbian teenagers, who are best friends, through their freshman year of high school. Studious and polite, Erik is forced to hide his sexual identity from his military family and the gay-baiting bullies at school. Feeling isolated and insecure as the only gay boy at his school, Erik's fortune turns for the better when he meets a new friend on the Internet. Isabelle is a strong willed, out lesbian whose parents embrace her sexuality and self-expression. Her offbeat sense of humor and unique style attracts the attention of a questioning cheerleader. In spite of opposition, they fall in love. Hard. Little do they foresee the difficulties that lie ahead. In spite of their challenges, Erik and Isabelle triumph over the forces against them with resilience and relentless humor.
