Uncover this refined and elegant interpretation of the greatest standards by one of the legends of jazz piano. The American pianist, arranger and conductor is an icon of jazz history. Wilson rose to prominence in the 1930’s playing alongside Louis Armstrong and subsequently in Benny Goodman’s band. Together with one of his contemporaries, Art Tatum, Wilson revolutionized jazz piano and helped create the style known as ‘stride’. The pianist features on a great number of award winning recordings with Billie Holliday, Benny Goodman, Sarah Vaughan, Benny Carter and Ella Fitzgerald.
