Notes:
"First published in Swedish by Bonniers of Stockholm in 1971. Since then a few of the original wood blocks have gone missing, so the prints on pages 11 & 20 are both from magnesium blocks. All the others are printed from the original engravings. ... We have printed two hundred copies, using Zerkall paper. The engravings are printed variously in the six different book blacks made by Cranfield Colours: Carbon, Seville, Ivy, Plum, Midnight and Graphite. The text is printed throughout in Hostmann-Steinberg Black to help aid differentiation. The typeface is Monotype Bodoni, with machine setting by Harry McIntosh in Edinburgh and the hand work done by Graham Moss & Kathy Whalen at Incline Press. This is copy number [blank]"--Colophon.
"175 copies are half-bound in cloth with patterned paper sides, held in an archival manila chemise ... 30 copies are similarly bound with the addition of an 8-page section of tipped-in plates and contained in a slipcase ... The ordinary edition is available in sheets for binders"--Prospectus.
Deckled edges (fore- and tail edges untrimmed); printed paper title label on spine.
