"The letters are to John Murray III, John Murray IV and Hallam Murray. They concern, among other subjects, the publication of "The Land of the North Wind", "The Country of the Moors", and "The White Sea Peninsula". A number of the letters are written on behalf of, and others concern, George Rae, Edward's father, and relate to the publication of "The Country Banker". Photograph of Edward Rae's second son, George, at Hooge where his brother Keith was killed during the First World War, sent as an enclosure in Edward Rae's letter, 21 September 1919, to John Murray IV."
