The page includes details of two items concerning Livingstone; Folio 14: 4th quarter 20th century, of an article from the "Scotsman", 9 September 1949, concerning the portrait of Livingstone by Henry Phillips. The following were with the Livingstone papers: Folios 15-18: plates from "Explorations in South-West Africa" by Thomas Baines. Baines was, until he was dismissed, the storekeeper and artist for Livingstone's expedition to the Zambesi. He went on to undertake his own explorations in South Africa.
