- "The manuscripts by Byron are dated between 1813 and 1815. The article by Gower (1899) alleges that "Werner" was not written by Byron but rather Gower's grandmother, the Duchess of Devonshire. Also included is an errata slip copied from the first edition of Byron's "Bride of Abydos", two letters concerning the nature of the slip from Leonard L. Mackall to John Murray IV (1914), and a page from "Notes & Queries" discussing the slip by N Herz (5 June 1909)."
