"This manuscript includes letters, 1814-1868 and uncertain dates, from William Jerdan to John Murray II and John Murray III with related letters and papers. They mostly concern Jerdan's role as editor of the "Literary Gazette", with requests for early copies of books for review. The letters reveal the business and social relationship between Jerdan and the Murrays. The letters are arranged alphabetically by correspondent, then by date under each name."
