Summary:
"Letters from Charles Lyell, presumably to John Murray III, which touch upon Reverend Joseph Sterling's poetry, the scientific writings of Henri Milne-Edwards, Darwin, advertisements, and illustrations for "Faust" and "Divine Comedy". Lyell also discusses assembling plates for the printer, Sir Henry Bunbury informing Napoleon of his exile to St Helena and "Elements of Geology". Letters are arranged chronologically and those that have a supplied year and no other date are placed at the end of the relevant year."
