- 宋明理学中最重要的转折,莫过于从朱子学向阳明学的两大范式之间的转化.对此思想史巨变,传统的叙事的解释是:青年王阳明为效法程朱理学的格物穷理而去格竹子之理,七天后病倒,等到他谪居龙场时方悟"圣人之道吾性自足",最终反求诸本心,确立心学的立场.事实上,朱子与阳明最大的分歧不在:理的来源是在内还是在外,而在于如何确证自己的道德信念为真,如何确认自己的道德动机是纯粹而无自欺的.最终是"诚意"的问题.因此,本书作者提出"诚意"中心说:以此中心重构这个范式转化的历史.本书围绕"大学"的诚意章的诠释问题,揭示从朱熹到王阳明的哲学史过渡的内在逻辑,以贯穿朱熹晚年修改诚意章注,王阳明的知行合一学说的提出,致良知学说的提出等"思想史事件",形成一个新的哲学史叙事,阐释王阳明哲学的核心关切是"诚意"如何可能的问题,以揭示和彰显中国传统儒家哲学"诚"范畴的道德思想理念的现代价值.
